Taigh Sgiathanach Terms & Conditions

Booking Conditions:

A preliminary booking will be held for the dates as per the confirmation of availability letter / e-mail sent following a request for a booking.
This booking will be held pending receipt of a booking deposit for a maximum of 7 days.

A firm booking will be accepted following the receipt of a deposit amounting to 25% of the total letting cost.
The complete letting charge and deposit required will be detailed in the confirmation of availability.
Following payment of the deposit a firm booking acceptance will be issued confirming the letting dates, deposit paid, amount outstanding and the due date for the balance (8 weeks before the first day of the letting).
For bookings made within 8 weeks of the start date for the letting, the complete balance will become due at the time of booking.

Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions and will form a contract between the hirers and the owners of Taigh Sgiathanach.

Payment can be by cheque, bank transfer or Paypal (Paypal receiving charges to be paid by the hirer).

Failure to pay the outstanding amounts prior to the dates set out in the firm booking acceptance will be deemed an unconditional cancellation of the booking on the part of the hirer (unless a notice of cancellation has been received). In this case the property will be re-advertised as available and NO refund will be made of any deposits paid.

Cancellations:

If you wish to cancel then cancellations should be notified in writing either by e-mail or letter.
The following refunds shall then apply -

Up to 8 weeks before start of letting - Deposit non refundable, any other amounts paid will be refunded.
Between 4 and 8 weeks before start of letting - 50% of amount paid will be refunded
Between 2 and 4 weeks before start of letting - 25% of amount paid will be refunded
Less than 2 weeks before start of letting - no refund will be given.

Should an alternative booking be secured before the commencement date of the cancelled booking then a full refund (including deposit) will be issued less a handling charge of 10% of the full rental amount.

The above refunds are only applicable if the required payments have been made in accordance with the time scales set out in the booking conditions above.

We strongly advise that you take out holiday insurance which may cover you if you have to cancel.

If the booking has to cancelled due to events beyond the owners' control, the whole of the hire charge will be refunded and the hirer will have no further claim against the owners.
